thermal performanceWith a wide range of insulation packages, from 0.29 to 0.05 U (1.65 to 0.28 W/m2k), Kalwall’s exceptional thermal performance options are unmatched in the fenestration industry. Kalwall’s ability to tailor visible light transmission (VLT), thermal insulation values and solar heat gain control properties allow specifiers to customize properties based on light level targets, climate zones and building type, as well as building orientation and microclimatic considerations. No other fenestration product performs better at reducing HVAC heating and cooling loads while harvesting daylight and managing solar gain. Kalwall’s thermally broken panels with translucent insulation provide unmatched condensation resistance factors (CRF) of approximately 80 CRF or better and Kalwall’s Clamp-tite fastening system can be specified thermally broken to minimize thermal bridging. Kalwall provides the highest insulating, light-transmitting products on the market today including Kalwall+Lumira® aerogel for uncompromised performance – even in the most extreme climates.
